SUNDAY BITES #42
A VERY GOOD 1930s edit
what a week. still taking it day by day because that’s all this process really gives me permission to do.
little IVF update: i’m in my third straight round. doing it differently this time. switched vitamins, cut the extra therapies that were honestly stressing me out more than helping, and just… riding it out. so far things are looking a little more hopeful…
i’ve also gone fully down the fertility rabbit hole. like, up-at-night, reading-studies level. and some of it is… shocking. (male factor accounts for ~50% of infertility, which somehow no one leads with??) so obviously i had to share. because no one should have to spend this many hours spiraling alone.
this week i got to interview one of my favorite writers, Amil Niazi, about her book Life After Ambition which felt… refreshing, inspiring and very unexpected in many ways. take a listen here.
on a completely different note: went to the Elemeno x Depop vintage popup in LA and it’s very good( we got some things..). last day is today go early or don’t go at all because it gets packed.
ps: if your kids are anything like mine and their sleep has gone completely off since the time change… this little machine has been saving me. they’re obsessed with it because we can set up songs/ stories and even soothing sounds that actually get them to fall asleep fast (rare), and the color light has been a game changer in the mornings so they’re not walking into my room at 5am every day.
anyway — here’s everything i’ve been saving /buying this week
A barely there bikini to survive this heat + I think the top under an open men’s shirt would be very good
The perfect jeans do exist. low enough to feel fun, not low enough to ruin your day
This red dress is making me want to book a trip I don’t have time for
A little vintage Bvlgari never hurt anyone
Ever since I saw Courtney this green skirt I haven’t stopped thinking about it
I’ve been on a full spiral looking for the perfect white pumps for a while and after too much debate… these are it
Such a good layer over pants or skirts in summer. adds just enough texture
These pants feel better than sweats and are so flattering!
I love a 1930s dress.there’s something about a bias cut that just works on almost everyone.they’re effortless: throw on a sweater or jacket, dress them up or down, so easyyyy
also this Doen dress, just got restocked and it will see out FAST. I was at the store yesterday and the color is PERFECT.
*(you have to see the details on this one )
EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA
Roz is having 20% off sitewide until March 26th, it’s time to stock up
J.Crew collaborated with Lee , and I must say these jeans are amazing ( plus the kids’ ones are good too)
If you, like me, have been spiraling down an AI hole lately and are now mildly exhausted by your own curiosity, read this.
The pace we’re moving at doesn’t feel entirely human anymore, and the tools the author suggests to take back some control are surprisingly realistic. and, honestly, helpful.
Alicia Van Couvering made laugh out loud in the best way possible with this article , which is a must for everyone that lives/ parents in LA.
the title says it all “Staying invisible is costing you more than being cringe ever will” Juliette Dallas-Feeney this one really hit home.
CouCou Intimates is having a SALE, which is RARE, so run!
AI isn’t entering the home as one tool—but as a full team.
Turns out feeling broke at six figures isn’t a personal failure. it’s structural. This breaks it down in a way that’s hard to unsee.
That’s all for today. going back to sleep, slightly jealous my husband is having a Caan while I can’t. time to count sheep.
besos,
Victoria
