SUNDAY BITES 022
From stage mom chaos to Katy Caterpillar, a full-blown Zebravaganza™ + more
Okay guys, my Kris Jenner moment has officially arrived—and let’s face it, maybe this is what I was born for? Or maybe not. Either way, the stage mom vibes feel oddly natural on me… just saying.
I’d previously shied away from the idea of Atlas modeling, mostly because picturing him at castings getting rejected made me want to hide under a cozy blanket forever. But honestly, the kid loves having his photo taken (wonder where he gets that from?), so when the lovely ladies from @shopmilkteeth reached out, it genuinely felt like the stars had aligned.
Without further ado—and yes, this is exactly as dramatic as it sounds—I present you… THE PICTURES.
(Prepare yourselves. The stage mom pride is about to overflow.)

* In honor of Atlas’s modeling debut Milkteeth is giving you all 15% off everything until July 31st with the code ZILLIONTRILLION15. Go shop! And yes, I promise not to get too carried away—no guarantees, though.
As some of you might know, I grew up in Lima, Peru—hardly the fashion epicenter, let's be honest—so the thrill was borderline electric whenever a trip to Miami appeared on the horizon. These trips were meticulously anticipated, months of strategic daydreaming dedicated purely to figuring out how far I could push my shopping budget (generously provided by my parents, bless their heart, though we inevitably tested its limits). Occasionally, a friend would smuggle in a Delia’s catalogue, our sacred style bible, pages dog-eared with aspirational outfits. In those days, Dadeland and Aventura Malls felt like pilgrimage sites, and Limited Too? Well, that was basically the holy grail. I’d arrive clutching a handwritten list of "essentials," each item deeply necessary, non-negotiable.I have a vivid memory of being at Dadeland and finding ( a now vintage version of) THIS shoe. Honestly, it was as if the clouds parted and angels sang—finally, something that matched every bias-cut midi skirt, tight Kosiuko( IYKYK) top, and cardigan combo I’d convinced myself was high fashion. It wasn't just a shoe; it was THE shoe, the kind of find that made me feel deeply, unapologetically chic. And now, even at 42, there's something undeniably comforting and perfectly right about stepping back in time—just a little.
Speaking of going back in time… for some reason, spotting this little caterpillar instantly transported me back to my great-grandmother’s floor, glued to the TV. Did any of you watch this too? What is it about certain core memories that unlock so much joy when revisited?
Here’s the thing: I don't know if you’re aware, but in one of my previous lives, I was a trend forecaster for luxury brands and retailers. My job was literally predicting who, what, and how things were going to be cool—which, to be honest, was kind of a dream gig, especially since I was living in Paris at the time. Think Emily in Paris vibes, but with way better outfits and far fewer clichés.
ZEBRAVAGANZA
Zebra print has been living rent-free in my head lately. Leopard was everywhere last fall, and let's face it—when leopard takes center stage, zebra is usually lurking just around the corner. For me, the obsession kicked off with the Conner Ives x Jimmy Choo collab, but things got serious once Khaite dropped their Resort collection sprinkled with perfectly-placed zebra touches. So here we are: it's official. Zebra is having its ZEBRAVAGANZA moment.
And in the spirit of embracing this wild trend, here are some things I’m eyeing….

Turquoise Tantrum™
As expected: zebra’s having a moment. Which means turquoise is inevitable. She’s a little bit Western, a little bit Y2K heiress, a little bit post-spiritual burnout. She's the rebrand of serenity — louder, glossier, not here to calm you down, just to remind you she could.
Extra: THIS Gucci Tom Ford x Skirt ($145) + THIS top in beaded Phyton + THIS Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford Runway Skirt - which is a DREAM.
There’s a new kid in town: Otherling — a just-launched curation, styling, and event membership platform that hosted its first IRL moment this week at Sunset Tower.Part curation, part styling service, part members-only fashion clubhouse.I fell (again) for a Métier bag I definitely don’t need. I finally saw the hand-painted Essant skirt I’ve been quietly stalking online — and yes, it’s even better in person.
Also: the vintage edit? Unreasonably good. Dangerously so. And yes, I might still be crying about not being able to wedge my foot into the butterfly McQueen heels.

LISTEN
I’ve been trying to avoid the news cycle, but at this point I’m listening almost manically. Between the creeping threat of WWIII and yet another major crisis in LA, staying informed feels less like a choice and more like survival. Promise to come back with some recs next week….
Thanks all for today.. Happy Fathers day- make it special…. Men need recognition too!
